Professional Counselling for the Whole Family

At LightHouse Counselling and Wellness, we provide virtual and in-person mental health counselling and psychotherapy services for children, youth, parents, adults, couples, and families.

Founded in 2021 by Jessica House, LightHouse Counselling & Wellness was created with a vision to build a place where clinicians feel genuinely supported and clients receive compassionate, evidence-based care. We value connection over competition, curiosity over perfection, and continuous growth over having all the answers.

Our team of registered psychotherapists and social workers are trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including attachment-based therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, collaborative problem solving, and infant and early childhood mental health.

Jessica House

MA, RP — Founder of LightHouse Counselling and Wellness

With two decades of experience in the mental health field, Jessica House is passionate about helping children, parents, caregivers, and families live their best lives. She believes in the potential of all people and works collaboratively with her clients to bring out the best in them.

Jessica holds a Masters in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and spent many years working as a Child and Family Therapist and mental health leader at a children's mental health centre. She is trained in attachment-based approaches, cognitive-behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, collaborative problem solving, and is one of Ottawa's few practice champions specializing in infant and early childhood mental health.

Beyond clinical work, Jessica is a certified Lean Black Belt and Coach who works with individuals and organizations to accomplish more than they thought possible. Through the collaborative coaching process, she has helped hundreds of clients set and achieve ambitious goals, improve performance, and enhance their overall wellness.

We offer a wide range of evidence-based therapy approaches including attachment-based therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, collaborative problem solving, art therapy, EMDR, and trauma-informed care. Our clinicians tailor their approach to meet your unique needs and goals.
Yes. We specialize in counselling for children, teens, and youth. Our clinicians are trained in play therapy, art therapy, and other developmentally appropriate approaches. We also offer specialized support for infant and early childhood mental health.
Yes. We provide virtual therapy across Ontario, allowing you to access professional counselling from the comfort of your home. We also offer in-person sessions at our Kanata and Richmond locations.
A 30-minute session is $130. For 50-minute sessions and other fee details, please contact us directly or visit our fees page for more information.
